We were really impressed with the newly renovated hotel upon our arrival this year in Milan. The Windsor offers an excellent position being a 15 minute walk or 3 stops from the Duomo by Metro. The staff were always very helpful anyway and services good, but since the last complete overhaul the place is brand spanking new and the rooms are fantastic.  The location works well for both myself and my wife even though I am there for work and she comes along for the shopping! It is always an advantage for me when I travel for the Hotel to have an in house restaurant and a decent bar to help unwind after a busy day, and both those services in the Windsor are first class.  The rates are always economical in comparison with the market so I feel with the refurbishment, it makes more sense than ever to book here.

After having some pokey little hotels on our travels up through Italy in Rome, Naples and Florence we expected the worst from the Windsor as they were offering such cheap prices.  We were very pleasantly surprised as the location was excellent, and the city much more efficient and well organised than what we had experienced in Rome! The rooms spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was ace! The  shopping in the Duomo area of Milan (3 stops from the Windsor) were fantastic (possibly too good so be sure to leave lots of space in your suitcase especially if flying Ryanair as they charge you through the nose for extra weight!), the in-house restaurant excellent, full of locals, and we felt that we were being treated well by competent staff.  Public transport or simply walking got us everywhere we wanted to see, and there was always a welcoming cocktail and smile when we rested our feet (and credit cards) at the end of a hard day.

The Hotel Windsor seemed to offer an excellent choice on my recent visit to the city.  I had to spend 16 days in Milan, so even the most comfortable and well run Hotel can start to be problematic when one spends such a long period there.  The staff were most helpful organising me laundry needs and business centre requirements with little fuss.  There was a local gym they registered me in as a guest, and the restaurant served me well as did the in-house Alfredo’s bar.  I was lucky to get a newly renovated room at the time as work was being undertaken over the whole structure, although the were neither disturbances or problems because of this, perhaps due to the fact that the refurbishment was coming to a close.  Thoroughly recommendable establishment, with great services and facilities, exactly where you need to be in the city centre.
